Thank you very much for your help. I know that the vent hole can be done in different sizes. The most important problem for me is that I do not find good audis for helping to me

    Thank you very much

It seems like you have to make a few choices:
    1) You can continue to search for an audiologist that you're pleased with.
    2) You could dive in and go the Do It Yourself (DIY) route. If you go this way, you could consider searching for a good deal on a used hearing aid.
    3) You could consider buying online through a company like Buyhear.com I do not know if that is feasible in Spain.

Keep us posted on how it goes. Best of luck.

But I have just read about a new model Primax BT 13. I don't know if GAES (the Spanish dealer) has this model.
The Primax Pure BT 13 was just released a few weeks ago. They come in three versions, 3 PX, 5 PX, 7PX. I was fitted for a set last week and so far I couldn't be happier. The bluetooth works directly with my iPhone without an intermediate device and so far it's flawless. They use size 13 batteries because of the extra BT battery consumption but I'm on day 5 and still on the same batteries.

Aside from the occlusion issue, however, did you spend enough time in it to see if you could hear better with them on compared to the open dome? It is a trade-off (better hearing vs occlusion), but at some point you need to decide which trade-off is more important to you. At least with occlusion, I think you can learn to get used to it over time. But the other trade-off (poorer hearing) won't get better for you over time like occlusion. My left hearing is not too bad in the low frequencies, and I wear a bass dome that is closed except for a very small single vent, and while it felt somewhat occluded at time, I learn to live with it and now I'm used to it enough that the occlusion is no longer an issue to me. Before trying out custom molds, which cost a lot more than closed domes, you should try out the different varities of closed domes first, including those with a single tiny minimal vent hole. Don't reject it right away, however, take some time to get used to it and the occlusion. Custom molds would be even better especially if the domes don't give a tight enough seal and gives feedback. But the closed dome may be adequate and you may not have to do custom molds if you get lucky.

Well. I used closed domes, and they were not bad. Anyway, I did not notice much improvement when I used them. Anyway it could be a good idea to use them again.

    Thank you very much

At this time, I couldn't use 3 in Spain . I thought using 2, but I was scared and I even bought all the necessary material (Hi-PRO compatible, CS-44 cables 312 pills...etc)

At this time I am thinking in 1) I am looking for another dealer....

Even I talked this evening with my doctor (she is a friend of mine), and she told me trying to repair my Pure 701, before buying the 701 Primax. Even she told me another dealer with better audis but this dealer did not work with Siemens

    It works with WIDEX.

I was looking for Widex models....and discovered this Widex Beyond 440 Fusion 2, but....

How is compared this model with Siemens Primax 701....

    Thank you very much

Finally, this story had a happy end.

I observed too much interest in selling my a new pair of HAs by the Spanish dealer GAES employees. I contacted with a former employee, very very good audi ( He left GAES 2 years ago), and now is a new independent dealer, Audioactiva (In Valencia, Spain)

He told me to let him to show my 701 HAs. He disassembled them, and he cleaned both of them. All free of charge.

Later, the fitted them and....now they worked ok again. This is a shame. GAES people tried to sell me a new pair of HAs, when my Siemens 701 worked ok. Now, my former audi, has a new customer: me

    Now, I am happy.

Thank you very much Moises (from Audioactiva)

What the hell does fitting them have to with unplugging gummed up aids?

I think you are right. I found him several years ago. But he left GAES. In Spain the HAs are very expensive (6000$) a pair of an advanced model , because they include all the fittings in the life of the HAs free of charge.

The problem is that GAES people tried to fool me telling that the HAs were broken. But they only were a little dirty. I am very angry with GAES people.
