Thread: Oticon offering $150 VISA gift card for purchase of OPN

  1. #1

Default Oticon offering $150 VISA gift card for purchase of OPN

A forum member who signed up for the Oticon OPN newsletter just shared with me an offer they received via email from Oticon for a $150 VISA gift card for purchase of the Oticon OPN through their Risk Free Trial offer.

    The email material says:

Try this breakthrough technology and the open sound experience for yourself

Sign up for a risk free trial of Oticon Opn™ and receive a $150 Visa gift card from Oticon with purchase.*
Don't miss out! Make your appointment by March 31st.
    *Terms and conditions apply

If you click on the "Sign Up" link, it takes you to this link http://t.oticon.com/acton/media/2595...=TV2:3mSlcsAAd

This page says "Have you already purchased the OPN through our Risk Free Trial?" "Click here to redeem your $150 VISA gift card" from Oticon."

If you click on that link, it takes you to this link: http://products.adtrack.com/00364/Nu...0GiftCard.aspx where you fill out personal information, and if you click yes to the question "Did you purchase Oticon OPN?", it'll ask you for the device serial number, then your service provider name and location.

It seems to imply that you get the gift card if you sign up for the risk free trial and purchase. But in the link to redeem, it doesn't seem to require any proof that you went through the Risk Free Trial specifically. But in the original email, it does say that "Terms and Conditions apply". There's no link to find out what the terms and conditions are, however.

I think it's worth a shot for folks who already bought the OPN (but not through this Risk Free Trial promo) to fill it out and see if maybe they can claim the $150 gift card or not. There's no guarantee that they will, though, just worth a try if they want. I'm going to give it a try. If I get the gift card, I'll report back.

I actually made 2 submissions, one for each HA. That's because it only asks for 1 serial number at a time. Don't know if that'll get me 2 gift cards or not, LOL!

After my submission, it says the following:

    Congratulations on your purchase!
Once Oticon verifies your order, we will mail you your $150 Visa gift card. This process takes approximately four weeks.

WOW!!! Volusiano, I am holding my breath until you report back: DID you get $150 VISA credit for each aid?!?! My face is turning blue ... so hurry on back to share the news!

What kind of VISA credit it is? If I have Merrill Lynch VISA, does it credit that account? Details!!! What a find. Geez. I paid $6K for my Opns and would like even 50-cents off now!

Hey all! I just clicked on the Sign Up link provided by Volusiano, and see that the offer date is stated as:

"The Qualification Period for the Promotion begins at 12:01 AM (EST) on November 29, 2016 and ends at 11:59 PM (EDT) on March 31, 2017."

WoooOoooOOO! That window works for me, cuz I bought mine in December! I might just take this to the limit right now and see what happens.
    ===================
Moments later .... I wonder if I blew it? I filled in the Sign Up form, and was told:
Thank you for your interest. We will email you shortly with the contact information for a Hearing Care Professional near you to schedule your Risk Free Trial of Opn.

Hum. Somehow, I seem to have bypassed the page Volusiano got about the trial? Ack, whatever! If I can, I'll pursue this to get that credit, cuz I definitely fall within the window of their offer. And I wonder why my aud-guy might not have known about it?

To clarify, there are actually 2 different web pages.

The first one is for people who haven't bought but want to try out. This is where you signed up 1Bluejay. But it's the wrong place for you.

There's a link on that page that you need to click on if you ALREADY purchased the OPNs, which will take you to another page to fill out to try to redeem the gift card, if you qualify.

AUGH! Now I see it! I clicked on that link, and indeed, it says:
If you purchased Opn™, here's how to get your $150 Visa gift card, compliments of Oticon.

So I will try that one out too! Can't hurt - unless their server IDs me as a "bot" looking for trouble. >: -) I checked my email, and they hadn't gotten back to me yet after my first form was submitted. Hope springs eternal!

Even odder ... I can't find the serial number on either aid! Typically, these would be stamped right on the case, but on my new Opns, there is no number stamped on the case anywhere. Now I wonder if I got an "official" pair of these or what? I'll call my aud-guy.

Volusiano: seriously, contact your audiologist and see if they could write up a receipt or vouch for your purchase being made within the offer time-frame. The way I read this offer is that Oticon WANTS to ramp up the buzz on the Opns, so they should also not quibble if you'd gotten these so close to the offer dates. It's worth a try! Myself, being a pitbull when it comes to offers, billing discrepancies and squeaking the wheel ... I'd GO FOR IT! :-)
