Default Better Understanding of Hearing Aids and Users

I understand that this is not the purpose of this forum and this post will be deleted within the next 24 hours.

I am part of a University commercialization project on Hearing Aids and we are looking to better understand their users. I am looking to do as many phone interviews as possible over the next 24 hours with hearing aid users. Interviews should take 15-20 minutes. We are not selling anything. Your responses will remain anonymous. We really just want to know your story.

Please email HearingAidInterview2017@gmail.com if you are interested.

If you were really with a University, your email would end with ".edu".

He's created an account to reveal in a public forum. Nobody should reveal their "real" email address in a public forum -- unless you love spam.

Why would anyone be expected to give out their real telephone number to a generic email address..

One may wish to mess with the interviewer and give out false info.

Hey if people post garbage threads that have nothing to do with Hearing aids in this site who know what people will do for "fun".

ODD that you'd delete this post in 24 hours if you really wanted to gather a statistically valid sample size for your phone interviews. While I would never share a phone number with any unknown source, I'm much more willing to fill out online forms that ask for feedback. Setting my own email addy through "trashmail.com" helps keep the spam to a minimum! :-)

Here we get anonymous requests for our feedback and yet NO ONE from any bona fide HA manufacturing company has ever even sent me a follow-on survey after any purchase I've ever made - most of which cost thousands of bucks.

My own dentist follows up EVERY visit with a short survey "How can we do better? Did we make you SMILE today?"

And here, as a retired marketing director, I slap my forehead with the MISSED OPPORTUNITY to get genuine feedback from an ideal survey pool right here. Augh.

Shortly after my purchase of my current HAs the National Acoustic Laboratory in Australia sent me an email to participate in a survey study regarding the trainable aids I had purchased. I also received calls and emails from my audiologist asking how I was going with my hearing aids. I did have a bit of a long, bumpy road to find the best HAs for me but I also know it is their standard practice to follow up with a call. They also do yearly reminders when hearing tests are due.
