The description of sounds is the "normal" reaction to getting hearing aids. It is possible to get used to. With a lot of hearing aids, it's possible to have the aids gradually increase in loudness over several weeks to make them easier to get used to. That might be something to consider. If you're not going to be using direct streaming to iPhone, the KS7.0 is certainly a cheaper option.

I was able to bend the cables to where the ends sat in my canals comfortable without scraping the sides.

He did the feedback test and adjusted that and I then asked him to turn down the high frequency settings. He was going to bring it down about 10 % but I asked for more. He has told me the Calas are very aggressive at the high end and although that's where my hearing loss is the greatest it seems to me this is something a new user should ease into. Even now I have the treble adjustment on the phone turned down to 1/13. Any more than that and everything has a "rasp" to it. My printer sounds like a train wreck, water running is like steel ball bearings bouncing on plate glass, just too annoying.

With the treble turned down I get by OK, I even start to forget I am wearing them. My batteries ran out this weekend and I missed the HA's right away so I am acclimating.

That's the good news, the bad news is the phone clip. I had the specialist adjust the bass as suggested and it made my hearing callers a bit better, the real problem is others hearing me. I am a service technician so I frequently am speaking with a tech support person while working. Last week, on four separate occasions I had the person on the other end of the line tell me I was breaking up, they couldn't hear me. I immediately removed the right HA and went to my old Plantronics and all was fine.

So the Resound phone clip may be a deal breaker. I have also found their iPhone software a bit buggy, it changes profiles when the screen on the phone goes dark, etc.

While the iPhone app seemed like something I needed I have to remember that the primary concern is actually communicating with people so I may switch to another system, perhaps the Kirkland 7's or Brios.

    thanks,

    Rob

I use the phone clip + a lot with my office phone via a Plantronics device and it has been 99% trouble free.

I need the clip to work on it's own when I am in the field working. It keeps breaking up to the person I am speaking with, they cannot hear me but I can hear them.

I have an Phone 6 plus, but my HA's are only KS5 which are Resound Verso similar (not Bluetooth) so I have to use the Phone Clip + for any streaming. I wear the clip on a lanyard under my shirt. I normally take it out from under my shirt when using it - to address the only complaint I have ever tended to get - that being my shirt fabric rustling over the microphone. Otherwise I get no complaints. My mouth tends to be about 12 inches or so from the microphone when in use.

Get it returned. One of my customers had the same issue, Resound said it was an input issue on the Clip.

Get them to replace the clip. I had the same problem and replacement was ok.

They are replacing the clip but wanted the original back first so now I am on iPhone streaming direct to HA's. Sound is not bad but must speak into the phone so it's not hands free. Also, when doing this it disables the phones keyboard so I can't call in and then use the keyboard to get different extensions. Tedious. I am not impressed Resounds iPhone connectivity and since that was the main reason I chose them I will probably be trying out a different maker in the near future, most likely Phonak Brio's.

The good news is I like having the HA's in general, I miss them when they are not in.
