Thread: Blood in ear when trying closed or power domes.

  1. Default Blood in ear when trying closed or power domes.

    Anyone else have this problem?

I am fine with open domes (because of ventilation?) but when i switch to either closed or power domes(Phonak) i am ok for about 12 hours but then i slowly start to see blood in either one or eventually both ear canals, it completely blocks the ear and i have to remove the aid.

I didn't have this issue years ago, i can remember the days when i was wearing tulip domes and had no issues with them. It would be quite bad if i could never wear anything other than open domes because i have been told i could benefit from power domes.

Well it isn't pouring out or anything but it's definitely blood, red blood.

Perhaps it's some sort of inflammatory/allergic reaction? Seeing your hearing care professional definitely sounds like a good idea.
