I am referring to their professional fitting software (so called SmartFit); they can't even do that right.

Can't say that me or my audiologist have had any problems with it.

How awesome for you; I know of at least three audiologists/hearing aid specialists who are having issues.

By the way if you're talking about it updating the accessories, the problem with that usually is the USB cable doesn't have the data lines. A lot of the cables (including I believe the ones that RESOUND gives you with the devices) only provide power as they are just charging cables. You can tell because you don't get the chime on windows when you connect the device. I had to go through my box of random USB cables to find one that did work.

What Resound have done is put the old Aventa inside a shell of the new software, which means that if you want to discover the previous gen product, you need to go through another discovery layer first (the one for the 3D product). This isn't perfect and draws more resource than some machines are happy with. I have an I5 laptop that struggles with it a little.

What also happened at the same time was the upgrade from Airlink 2 to Noah-Link Wireless - this seems to have thrown more spanners in the works for some people.

Mine worked fine until the whole port inside the unit detached on the data cable plug. So I welded the whole data cable to the unit with UV adhesive.

The included USB cable definitely does data-transfer - like a printer USB cable, I'm running two independent sets of kit with them on and neither has a problem with getting connected.

If you're using 312 battery on a new aid that's just been unpeeled, give it at least a minute before closing the battery drawer as the initial start-up voltage may not be enough to connect wirelessly 'out of the box'. YMMV depending on what batteries you're using.

Are you sure the old driver (Airlink 2) was removed? You might have dueling driver.
