Thread: About analog hearing aid with ear hook filter or without

  1. Default About analog hearing aid with ear hook filter or without

Right now I have Phonak V50 UP. I am not really biggest fan of digital since I am used with analog for a long time. I was told that if I want analog sound, audiologist can put calm situation as single program only then add linear instead of prescribled, will it work? Second question, do people use filter or without filter on ear hook? Thanks.

I never wore analog other than when I got some cheap "Siemens" aids on ebay when I had a mild loss. I was curious about them and asked my audiologist at Costco what they were like. She quickly programed them on my 4th program. She'd been around in the analog era. I just noticed that was a bit sharper. So yes, it is possible to get somewhat close to how they perform.
