Thread: Widex Dream or Widex Unique Programming or Adjustment Advice

  1. Default Widex Dream or Widex Unique Programming or Adjustment Advice

Iím struggling to find hearing aids and getting them properly adjusted. Iím currently trying out a pair of demo hearing aids from my audiologist Ė Dream 220 Fashion Power. I like the sound of them but there is way too much echoing from everything I hear. Any recommendations on what adjustments my audiologist can make to reduce the echos? Would I be better off with Widex Unique with more channels as it may be easier to program out the echos?

Thank you in advance for any advice!!

I can't answer your question, but am curious if anybody has suggested cochlear implant? You have quite a marked loss, although I'm very impressed with your word recognition scores.

I did have an audiologist suggest that but I declined as I'm hoping that stem cells will be able to regenerate hair cells in the future. Thank you for the compliment!

Does anyone have programming advice to reduce echos? I have an appointment with my audiologist today.

Some hearing aid software has a reverb program to reduce echo in susceptible rooms.
