Default Battery Case Suggestions Please

For long term users...and smart newcomers...

What hearing aid battery case(s) do you recommend for more then two batteries?

pocket cases vs key chain case... I have no key chain..

Any "re purposed" product ideas that would work as good hearing aid battery cases?

Source(s) for the case(s)?

Thanks in advance

YMMV

I have a little pill case. It's flat (about 1/4 inch thick) and was designed to hold 4 capsules. It has 3 compartments...one which would hold one capsule on each side and 2 in the middle. It's oval shaped and says 'Daily Dose' on the top. I carry 2 spares on each side, with nothing in the middle. Sometimes they rattle when I walk, so I usually 'pad' them with some cotton to keep them quiet. I have had some of the batteries from the case fail...some speculation that the heat from my leg might have a negative effect on them...who knows?

thanks... pill box.... know where you got yours?

batteries that I thought failed actually seemed to just take longer to energize.. I think what is happening in my instance is the heat is melting the glue into the holes a bit and just takes longer for air to get thru to the zinc...

just happened again... i gave up on it... put another in.. and five minutes later tried the first and darn... it was working... I resealed with the tab but do not have high hopes...

I also use a pill box I got from Walgreens. It works very well.

Jupiter, if you "try" to reseal the battery with the tab, there will still be leakage. Once it is opened, it is open.

I know... but I keep kidding myself into hopefulness...\

That said... someone had a thread in these forum about using "tack" that kind of gooey pencil eraser like stuff...remeber pencils? It used to be in lots of offices I think it was called Blu-Tack,,,

They claimed great luck at resealing... that said... it reminds me to not give up on any new battery for at least five minutes.. as every one that I thought would not work in fact did...

YMMV

I use a small pouch that has a velcro flap attached to my key chain that holds 2 batteries with no problems. I used to keep it in my pocket all the time but found when it started getting warmer out I had problems with the batteries failing do to excess heat, now I have it on my key chain with keys I use all the time and I no longer have any problems with the batteries.
As for resealing the holes on the batteries I resealed my batteries with tape every night to see if they would last any longer: they did last an extra 4 days, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

I've used plain scotch tape to reseal batteries a couple times. One was still fine after 3-4 weeks.

I always carry a "wheel" of batteries in my wallet. When it gets down to 2, I replace it. Also, carry a wheel in my key case. Carry a wheel in my car, one in each travel item case (travel several times a year w. oone carry on and one small "personal" bag). I rotate the supplies a couple times a year so that batteries are used within a year of getting them - usually less time.
