Default Miracle Ear Aids

Hi everyone, havent been on here in a while. I have about a 50% loss in both ears & were the in canal style aids & bought them back in 2/09.( never wore aids before that)
My audi retired & sold his pratice to Miracle ear . I never have been to happy with my aids & always felt I need new ones, still have to watch TV with subtitles to fully understand whats going on & yes I know I have to retrain my brain to hear but it never happend...still have a hard time hearing with low talkers (1/2 the population)
ANYWAY, anyone ever use M.E???? Is it worth a shot, My audi left all his patients info with them so they keep bothering me to come in for a check up & say they will use my current aids as some money towards new ones.....
Feed back please???
Thanks for letting me share!! :-)

Wink Costco sells 3 top level hearing aids

Costco has a very good $500 shell hearing aid, bernafon. Suggest you try one.

Make SURE they adjust your hearing aid(s) AFTER they do the real ear measurement.

see other comments here.

good luck, elijah

If you live in Florida, there should be NO shortage of various places you can find good, quality care.

What part of Florida are you in???

Mark,
From everything I've read about M.E. HA's they seem to be rebranded Seimens or made for M.E. by Seimens at a substantial price increase over their Seimens counterparts. I personally would find an audi in your area that you like and can work with and cares about getting you to the point where you can hear as well as you are able to and were you are happy with your HA's. Since your old audi retired and you weren't happy with your aids anyway I think it's time to try someone new. So I'd find someone new and see what HA's they recommend for me and give them a try. A friend of mine answered a Miracle Ear add several years ago and can't shake these people, they continued to call him even after asking them to stop every couple of months. I would rather go to someone who is interested in my hearing than just looking for their next sale. Good luck!

My experience with M.E. is that if you need a repair their policy is no matter what repair is needed their charge is $497.00 even if it is a battery door. It really made me mad seeing as how i purchased two aids from them. I went to an independant audi and for $125.00 had my aid repaired. I will never go to M.E. again.
I recently purchased a new digital aid from Sams Club in Florida which I am happy with.

Anybody reading this who is happy with a Miracle Ear fitting?

There seems to be plenty of reason to shop elsewhere, but maybe some of their customers are happy?

If they're on here, of course, they may know that they overpaid...

just curious. elijah

I believe that you can get TWO fine Kirkland/Rexton/Siemens aids for $1999 total at most Costcos, most of the time. I bought a similar aid 3 years ago, and they have been great.
