Default I thought they were suppose to last some years

My Oticon Digifocus aid lasted 12 years... the last 2 years I needed some repairs so
some would say 10 years. Really durable and reliable.

My new Oticon Vigos are just over 2 years old and out of warranty. One was finally replaced entirely after 3 repairs under warranty. Now the second/other one is acting up.

Rumor I heard is this manufacturer keeps parts on hand for 5 years.

A bit sad that a 5 year old cell phone that was dropped, gotten wet, lost, found still works
without needing repairs.

I forget the brand, but I had an analog hearing aid that lasted me for 7-8 years. I am sure it would've been longer if I didn't switch to digital. That was my longest aid thus far.

Every time I get new insurance/renewal, the first thing I do is check to see if hearing aids are covered. if they are, then I get a new pair if it's an upgrade.
